- Is there a limit as to the
number of photos you will take ?
- What happens if my band goes
on stage later than expected ?
- When is payment required ?
- What do you charge for "per
location shots" ?
- What styles do you shoot in ?
- What equipment do you use ?
We do not limit the
number of photos we take. We don't even think about that. We shoot for the
entire time we are booked. You will usually receive 100 photos on average
for each hour we are there, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little
less....depending on the event.
This can happen and usually does. If it is 30 mins.
later that is ok but once it reaches the 1-hour mark you will be charged $50 per
hour of downtime. We realize it is not your fault and it is important for
you to know your start time if we are to film or photograph your show.
There have been times where bands told us to be there at 8pm and they did not go
on until midnight.
We ask that you give us at least 2 weeks notice prior to
filming or photographing your band. That gives us time to mail out a
simple contract for you to sign and you to mail us a check. It also gives
both you and us time to work together to plan your shoot. We can accept
payment in full the night we film or photograph as a last resort and that must
be received before we start working. Only half the balance is required for
video production. The other half is due, in full, before your DVD masters
or any footage of any kind is turned over.

We do not charge for location shots. You booked us
for a certain amount of hours and we are there to shoot photographs or video of what you
want where you want. This is limited to the Chicago and surrounding
suburbs. The only fee we may charge is a small travel fee, depending on
where the area is, although this is rare. We are working from the time of
arrival until the time we were contracted for expires.
We combine both photojournalistic (candid) and traditional
(posing) shots in our photography. We will capture the
behind the scenes while getting some shots of your event.
This is dependant on the situation of course. Shoots will vary based on
what is being photographed. It may be headshots of your band against a
background which would be posed. It might also be a photography shoot on
location somewhere of your band. In this case we will pose you how we see
fit, based on your style, with input from you. We will also take candid
shots during the shoot. For live band it is of course limited to candids
and great action shots of your band on stage, as well as some crowd shots and
shots of the venue you are playing at from the outside, etc. A 2nd
photography can be very useful especially during larger venues or if we are
shooting a corporate function with many people present. We are
always on call ready to get shots you may want...just flag us down and let us
know. We are here to work for you.
Whether shooting photography or video, we shoot in
digital. We use Both Canon and Nikon for photography and Canon for video.
We have the backdrops and necessary lighting used for portrait shots. Back
at the studio all photos and video are edited with top of the line software such
as Adobe photoshop CS2 and Adobe premiere pro (for editing video.) All
photos are uploaded to our site for online proofing (proofs link) where family
and friends can view and order prints if they wish. We leave our business
cards so you will know where to go to view
the photos after your event.
